TV Digital Signal Conversion 2/2009 Will Radios that receive the audio of Channels 2-13 work ?

As an Emergency Manager we are selling hand crank Eton radios that cover Channels 2-13 audio. When the digital conversion is completed, will these radios still pick up the audio of these TV channels? Thanks!!

short answer, no. long answer, the DTV signal processes the audio as part of the digital stream, so there is no analog type audio for your radio to pick up. i have an Eton radio to listen on the FM band and they do not received HD FM either, but at least with FM the analog has not been discontinued, yet.
