U-Dance by Hasbro

Teach your kids how to dance with the latest innovative dance game; U-Dance! Learn step by step dance moves with U-Dance. Just a few days of practicing and your kid could become a pro and hit the Dance Floor with new confidence!

U-Dance has a motion capture technology and is very user- friendly. You just need to plug the console into your TV, wear the wireless foot tags on your feet, and you are ready to ‘Step on it’ literally! Groove to the latest dance numbers and rock the dance floor!

The set up is very easy. U-Dance comes with an easy to follow, instruction booklet. Insert AA batteries to the three tower piece, place it in front of your TV, plug the AV code to your TV, switch the button at the back of the tower, put on the motion tag bands to your kid’s feet and they are ready to rock the dance floor!

U-Dance has a collection of 12 songs of the latest popular dance songs, which my kids aged 6 and 10 enjoy. They are big fans of Chris Brown and always choose his ‘Run it’ number to dance on. I am not so familiar with some of these new songs but I love the classic dance numbers by Jackson 5 and MCHammer. My whole family enjoys with U-Dance. Your kid can perform real dance moves such as steps, slides, jumps and crossovers and it’s a great way to work out too! The dancing to the upbeat music surely gets you sweating!

If your child needs warming up sessions before moving to the higher level, U-Dance has two mini modes to practice with. In the first mode (Lounge), they have to kick the lounge lizards out of the spotlight on the screens. In the second mode (Workout) they must step on the diamonds while avoiding perils on the moving treadmill. The final mode (Dance Floor) is the most fun though!

In the Dance Floor mode, you can warm up with the basic tutorial provided at the beginning of the game. Once your kid is done with the tutorials, they’ll be directed to the main menu of the Dance Floor mode, from where they can choose the level of difficulty and one of the upbeat numbers they want to dance to. The aim is to match your foot movements with the target feet on the TV screen. As your child progresses with the game, their accuracy and timing is scored by the Dance Meter. You can also keep track of your child’s scores to mark their progress.

U-Dance is well worth recommended for all kids in almost all ages. For $74.99 it’s a whole lot of music-filled fun in your living room! It also works as a superb and fun way to do some exercise.
